From June 20 to 26, participants from Latvia joined a training course “Volunt4you(th)”

in Fafe, Portugal.

Through interactive workshops, the event focused on developing key leadership skills such as communication, decision-making, and problem-solving. Civic education programs also deepened the youths’ understanding of democratic principles and civic responsibilities.

This event was a key part of six-month project to boost civic engagement and volunteering among European youth.

Our goal was to address the current obstacles to youth participation and promote innovative approaches to youth volunteering activities, fostering European values and enhancing community involvement. Participants explored various digital tools and non-formal education methods, which will be invaluable in revitalizing the volunteering culture within their organizations.

By the end of the event, we collectively drew valuable conclusions and identified good practices that will help standardize procedures and facilitate local and international cooperation. We are proud to have contributed to enhancing civic participation and look forward to seeing the positive impact of these initiatives on European youth.
